I love my girlfriend. And not just love her, I mean walk with her to the edge of the universe love her. I love her like she is the only thing in this world that can make me smile. I would do anything for her. I would do everything for her. If I couldn’t do it all before I died- I would turn the hands on the clock backwards and make time. I said forever, and I meant it.

But you say I can’t love her. I can’t hold the one who warms my heart. I’m not allowed to hold her hands and tell her she’s beautiful. I can’t kiss her goodbye in the morning when I get up to go to work. It’s not right for me to take care of her when she’s sick, and tell her how much I love her, just because I’m a girl.

I don’t have to be a man to love my girlfriend the way that I do, because no man could love her as much as I do.
